Concept and Design

The first combination, with cool colours, is made up of shades of green, brown and blue; the second is a warmer interpretation of the intertwining motif, where we see the tones of "gingerbread" and the more classic of Poltrona Frau notes emerge, such as the timeless India SC 66, which recalls the world of saddle-leather. The decorative cushions are made in two different sizes to give a precious and personal touch to home environments.

The Motif Weavers decorative cushions by Poltrona Frau are designed for those who want to introduce a detail that combines material richness, graphic character, and chromatic refinement. Designed by Simona Cremascoli, they stand out for their Pelle Frau® Motif Weavers upholstery, a decorative leather digitally printed with a multicolored pattern inspired by weaving, wickerwork, and basketry. The result is a cushion that works not only on comfort, but above all on its ability to bring visual rhythm to the room and enrich it with a cultured, discreet, and recognizable presence.

These cushions are particularly suitable for those who want to give more personality to a sofa or armchair without weighing down the overall composition. In a contemporary living room, on a leather seat, a neutral fabric sofa, or a chaise longue, the woven motif introduces a visual texture that makes the space more interesting without making it excessively decorative. It is a highly convincing solution for those looking for a refined graphic accent capable of adding depth and character to rigorously designed interiors.

The color variations greatly expand the possible settings in which they can be used. The version with cooler tones recalling greens, browns, and blues is ideal for those who want to create relaxed, sophisticated, and natural environments, perfectly suited to oak, walnut, stone, burnished metals, and textiles in dusty shades. The version with a warmer, more enveloping palette is particularly well suited to interiors dominated by leather, tobacco tones, terracotta, warm beige, and amber woods, making it ideal for those seeking a more intimate and intense atmosphere. In both cases, the cushion is not simply an accessory, but an element that helps define the emotional tone of the room.

The inspiration drawn from weaving makes Motif Weavers especially interesting for interiors where contemporary craftsmanship is meant to be highlighted. They are perfect for living rooms that combine linear furnishings with tactile details, internationally inspired homes that alternate smooth surfaces with rich materials, or minimalist interiors that need an element capable of breaking monotony with elegance. In these settings, the pattern is not perceived as decoration for its own sake, but as a reference to manual craftsmanship reinterpreted in a sophisticated key. This is precisely what makes them suitable for people who appreciate objects with a visual story while preferring to keep that story within a measured design language.

These cushions can also play a highly effective role in the bedroom. On a bed with clean lines, an upholstered bench, or a bedroom chair, they add texture and chromatic richness without compromising the sense of calm typically sought in sleeping areas. They are especially suitable for those who want a refined bedroom composed of natural tones, fine materials, and details that emerge discreetly. Thanks to the different available formats, they can be combined harmoniously either as a pair or as a single decorative accent.

Motif Weavers also find a natural place in lounges, private studies, suites, and premium hospitality spaces, where they can help make seating more welcoming while also making it more distinctive. In high-end professional environments, a cushion like this is ideal for those who want to communicate attention to detail, material culture, and a refined visual sensibility without resorting to flashy elements. It is a choice that works particularly well in spaces where comfort needs to meet a clearly defined aesthetic identity.

Another important aspect is the possibility of coordinating them with the ColorSphere® system, making these cushions particularly interesting for those who want chromatic continuity between accessories, upholstery, and furnishings. This makes them especially suitable for both high-end residential projects and design contexts where every detail needs to interact with the whole. They are ideal for people who value coherence and who do not choose an accessory simply because it is beautiful on its own, but because it can integrate perfectly into the visual grammar of the home.
