The apparent informality of Get Back conceals its close attention to detail. The rounded corners make the surfaces even more inviting.

The cushions, padded with soft down, create an interesting contrast with the sculpted surfaces of the frame and underline Poltrona Frau’s leather processing prowess.

The frame of the basic structure is made of die-cast aluminium and solid tulip wood for the covered parts.

The padding is made of polyurethane foam. The seat spring system consists of interwoven elastic belts. Cast aluminium feet with Ruthenium finish and black nylon caps. Get Back can be upholstered completely in Pelle Frau® leather or in a combination of Pelle Frau® leather with fabric seat and backrest cushions.

Concept and Design

After Let it Be and Come Together, designed for Poltrona Frau in 2017 and 2018 respectively, Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba have designed Get Back, a seating system that once again pays homage to the Beatles. Get Back is inspired by the refrain, “Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged”. A playfully schematic text for a project that represents a return to comfort, to a welcoming tailor-made space where you can really feel at home.

It is the product of in-depth research into comfort. Generous, spacious and open lines, reclined backrests that encourage relaxation. A very light overall effect created by the suspended frame, supported by simple aluminium feet. On top, soft cushions and chaise elements with unexpected depth. An alluring invitation to “Get back home” and enjoy the relaxing and convivial atmosphere of your living room.

The Get Back ottoman by Poltrona Frau is designed for those who want a living space capable of combining deep comfort, relaxed elegance, and great compositional freedom. Part of the Get Back family designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, this ottoman stands out for its soft lines, rounded corners, and an informal yet highly refined visual presence. It is the kind of designer ottoman that does more than complete a composition: it helps define its overall tone, making it more welcoming, more open, and easier to live in.

In a contemporary living room, the Get Back ottoman is particularly suitable for those looking for a natural extension of the sofa, capable of enhancing the feeling of relaxation without weighing down the space. It can work as a footrest in front of a deep seat, as an informal surface for books and decorative objects, or as additional seating during social occasions. This versatility makes it ideal for people who want less rigid, more fluid spaces, where comfort is not confined to a single position but can adapt to different moments of the day: reading, conversation, rest, or entertaining guests.

One of the most interesting aspects of the product is its ability to interact with spacious living areas and modular configurations. In open-plan spaces, lofts, or large interiors, the ottoman helps create more articulated islands of comfort, forming a more expansive and visually balanced conversation area. It is particularly suitable for those who need to break up the linearity of a composition and introduce a freer element that lightens the overall arrangement while remaining consistent with the design language of the sofa. The available sizes and its belonging to a modular system also make it suitable for projects in which space customization plays a central role.

From a comfort perspective, the structure with elastic webbing, polyurethane foam padding, and cushions enriched with feather filling provides a soft and generous support sensation, particularly suited to those who enjoy a relaxed, informal way of living. This makes the Get Back ottoman especially appealing to people looking for luxury that is truly meant to be lived in, not merely admired: a piece that is beautiful, but above all capable of supporting spontaneous everyday use, free postures, and a level of comfort that invites you to stay.

The Pelle Frau® upholstery, or the leather-and-fabric combinations available within the Get Back family, also make it ideal for interiors where fine materials and tailored details play an important role. In homes with warm woods, burnished metals, richly textured rugs, or neutral palettes, the ottoman fits naturally into the setting, adding visual softness and material continuity. It is particularly suited to people who appreciate sophisticated interiors that are not overly formal, where craftsmanship can be perceived in the details: stitching, piping, finishes, and proportions.

The Get Back ottoman also finds a natural place beyond purely residential environments. In suites, lounges, executive offices, boutique hotels, and high-end hospitality areas, it can be used as flexible seating, as an element that lightens the composition, or as a way to create more informal conversation areas. In these contexts, it is ideal for those who want representative spaces that are not rigid, with an elegance that helps people feel at ease. Its relaxed visual language makes it a particularly good choice for professional or hospitality spaces where perceived comfort is a fundamental part of the experience.

There is also a particularly interesting aspect for those who furnish with a strong design sensibility: the ottoman can be used to adjust the rhythm of a room. In living spaces where everything risks appearing too linear or too symmetrical, an element like this introduces a softer, more dynamic, and more convivial pause. It is therefore an ideal solution for those who want the living area to feel less constructed and more natural without losing aesthetic coherence. In a reading area, it can complement a statement armchair; in a large living room, it can complete a sectional configuration; in a lounge area, it can become an occasional surface or additional seat.
