The round Mesa Due table with a Lazy Susan rotating top features a column‑based pedestal clad in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® with tone‑on‑tone stitching or in leather with contrasting stitching. The pedestal structure is made of steel, internally stabilised thanks to a special internal counter‑weighting system, and it has a shaped plastic tip at the end to protect the floor. The Lazy Susan rotating top consists of the assembly of two circular tops of different diameters. Between the two tops is housed an aluminium mechanism rotating on steel balls. Concept and Design

Poltrona Frau has carried out an interesting philological work on the Mesa project: on the basis of a number of original designs by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it has created a number of new versions of the original table, calling them, fittingly, Mesa Due. Due - two - like its simple geometric shapes, a circle and a cone, combined together to form a table bursting with personality and style.

The Mesa Due with Lazy Susan by Poltrona Frau is designed for those who want to transform moments of conviviality into a more fluid, elegant, and shared experience. Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, this round table combines geometric rigor with highly practical functionality: the central rotating top makes it easy to distribute dishes, serving plates, and objects around the center of the table, making interaction more natural and orderly. It is particularly suitable for those looking for a round table with a Lazy Susan that combines a strong aesthetic identity with genuine quality of use.

Its round shape makes it ideal for those who enjoy convivial dining, more open conversations, and a more balanced relationship among everyone seated at the table. The Mesa Due with Lazy Susan is particularly well suited to those who want a dining table that encourages sharing, both with family and when entertaining guests. The central Lazy Susan helps simplify serving, reducing the need to pass dishes around or repeatedly get up from the table, and makes the table especially appealing to those who see the dining room as a space for connection as well as entertaining. In this sense, the product responds well to those seeking formal elegance combined with social comfort.

From a materials perspective, the table is designed for those who appreciate combinations with a strong visual impact that remain perfectly balanced. Sources indicate a steel pedestal base with an internal counterweight, upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere or Saddle Extra leather, while the rotating system consists of two overlapping discs with an aluminum mechanism running on steel ball bearings. The upper surface of the Lazy Susan is made of birch plywood with a solid wood edge, while the lower top can be crafted from marble. This composition makes it perfect for interiors where leather, marble, and wood form part of a sophisticated and coherent design language.

The Mesa Due with Lazy Susan is particularly suitable for those who want the table to become the true centerpiece of the dining room. In an important dining room, an open-plan living area with an integrated dining space, or a residence with a contemporary international aesthetic, this table offers a striking presence without excess, thanks to the contrast between the geometric purity of its form and the tactile richness of its materials. It is an ideal choice for those who want a substantial round table that does not feel heavy, capable of bringing order, centrality, and strong visual quality to the space.

The Lazy Susan also adds very practical value to everyday use. For those who frequently organize family lunches, dinners with friends, or more formal gatherings at home, this system meets the need for a table that is more practical, accessible, and convivial. It is ideal for those who serve multiple courses, enjoy setting the table with care, or want to avoid an overly static dining experience. The rotating center thus becomes more than a technical detail: it acts as a genuine facilitator of conviviality, particularly useful in homes where lunch or dinner is considered a central moment of the day.

This table also fits naturally into professional and hospitality environments. In high-end meeting rooms, private dining rooms, boutique hotels, yachts, clubs, and representative spaces, the Mesa Due with Lazy Susan can be a highly effective solution for combining image and functionality. In a business setting, the rotating top can make it easier to share materials, small objects, or table service items; in hospitality environments, it enhances the sense of care and comfort offered to guests. It is therefore ideal for those looking for a prestigious table capable of encouraging interaction and fluidity.

Stylistically, the product is particularly suitable for contemporary, modern-classic, or internationally inspired interiors, especially where a strong graphic statement is desired without unnecessary excess. It appeals to those who appreciate essential forms, fine materials, and furniture capable of being both rigorous and welcoming. The leather-upholstered base, combined with marble and wood, allows the table to pair beautifully with statement seating, fine rugs, understated wall paneling, or interiors featuring neutral and deep color palettes.
