Concept and Design

Jobs is an innovative executive system of desks, cabinets and meeting tables designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. It is the result of close reflection on the evolution of behaviour in relation to new technologies and a careful selection of materials, which enrich the different volumes with sober elegance and mark, also stylistically, the different work areas.

The Jobs storage unit by Poltrona Frau is designed to interpret the contemporary office through an elegant, rational, and deeply professional language. Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, it is part of an executive system that views work not only as a function, but also in terms of spatial organization, representation, and the quality of the everyday experience. It is an ideal solution for those who want an orderly and authoritative work environment capable of integrating storage, image, and high-end materials into a coherent whole.

This storage unit is particularly suitable for people who work in executive offices or professional practices where order and representation need to coexist. In these settings, the unit does not merely serve to store documents and objects, but also contributes directly to the overall perception of the space. A well-organized office, with coordinated furnishings and refined materials, communicates method, reliability, and attention to detail. The Jobs storage unit responds precisely to this need: it is neither neutral nor impersonal, yet never excessive. It conveys solidity, restraint, and a sophisticated design culture.

The combination of open and closed compartments, typical of the collection’s various configurations, makes it especially interesting for those who need to alternate between display and concealed storage. It can be used to archive confidential materials, store work accessories, organize operational documents, as well as display books, samples, selected objects, or elements that contribute to the identity of the office. This dual function is particularly useful in environments where professional rigor needs to coexist with a more relational or representative dimension.

The Jobs storage unit is also an excellent choice for spaces where work, meeting, and reception areas interact with one another. In a contemporary office, there is no longer always a clear separation between the workstation, archive, and meeting area. For this reason, a unit capable of organizing and, in some cases, defining or dividing the space becomes particularly valuable. The taller versions, which can also be used as partition elements, are well suited to creating subtle transitions between different functions while maintaining strong aesthetic coherence.

From a stylistic point of view, it is perfect for professional environments that want to avoid a technical, anonymous, or overly cold image. The use of Pelle Frau leather, oak, and steel brings a more sophisticated tactile and visual quality to the workplace, making the office more welcoming without weakening its professional character. This makes it ideal for consulting firms, law offices, executive headquarters, professional showrooms, creative agencies, or high-end contract environments where every element needs to contribute to an overall perception of quality.

It can be particularly compelling for those who want a workspace that is organized yet distinctive, where furniture is not made up of standard storage units but instead forms an integral part of the interior design. In these cases, Jobs is chosen not only for its functionality, but because it helps give structure to the office, organize its flows, and reinforce its personality. The use of fine materials, carefully designed surfaces, and precise construction details makes it suitable for those who also place importance on the way a space communicates to the outside world.

The unit can also be used effectively in private professional offices, sophisticated home offices, or hybrid environments combining work and representation. In a high-end home study, for example, it allows work essentials to remain neatly organized while visually lightening the room and creating a sense of control. In a more contract-oriented setting, on the other hand, it can become an element of continuity between the desk, meeting table, and storage area, especially when incorporated into a coordinated design featuring other pieces from the same collection.

For those who manage numerous activities, documents, or operational materials, the Jobs storage unit responds to a practical need to elegantly organize documents, books, objects, and work tools without sacrificing aesthetics. This characteristic makes it particularly suitable for those who want to combine efficiency and image, especially in offices where clients enter, observe, and form part of their impression through the space itself.

The Jobs storage unit by Poltrona Frau is therefore an ideal solution for high-end executive offices, professional practices with a strong focus on image, premium contract spaces, organized hybrid work environments, and all those situations in which storage needs to be transformed into visual order, perceived quality, and spatial identity.
